About Prevention Access Campaign
We helped turn a scientific fact into a freedom movement.
Prevention Access Campaign is a global nonprofit organization working to end the HIV epidemic and HIV-related stigma by making U=U real for every person living with HIV.
U=U means Undetectable Untransmittable: people living with HIV who are on treatment and have an undetectable viral load cannot sexually transmit HIV.
That truth should have changed everything the moment the science was clear. But science does not move itself. Institutions do not always rush to correct the harm they helped create. And people living with HIV were still being handed fear, silence, half-truths, and stigma in clinics, relationships, media, laws, and public health messaging.
PAC was born out of the refusal to let that continue.
What began as a community-led effort to translate science into plain, powerful language became a global movement. PAC worked with people living with HIV, researchers, clinicians, public health leaders, community advocates, and global partners to build consensus, challenge outdated narratives, and push U=U into the places where it could change lives.
